Welcome to Chatter Buddies First Look!

Science-based early literacy and oral language instruction delivered in a cartoon!

No kits to put together.

No lesson plans.

No complex teacher training.

No complicated navigation.

But don’t let the simplicity fool you – the complexity of the content is built into Chatter Buddies.

Developed by speech-language pathologists, Chatter Buddies does not teach a child to read – Chatter Buddies eases the transition between the spoken word and the written word. The cartoons’ lovable characters, original songs, and entertaining vignettes teach sound and language analysis explicitly, systematically, and consistently.

Chatter Buddies’ interventions are simple to use. The fidelity of implementation is built into the program - Interventions are predesigned to be effectively delivered systematically, explicitly, and consistently by staff at all levels of credentialing.  The screenings for progress monitoring, delivered virtually,  can be given by both certificated and non-certificated personnel.

In four weeks, expect to see gains in:

Understanding the reciprocal relationship between sounds and letters

Establishing sound awareness and flexibility both aurally and orally

Imprinting the sound of sequences in words through pronunciation

Understanding how a single sound can change the meaning of a word

Learning print awareness, story concepts, and early narrative skills
