Accompanying Standards

  • Tuesdays -

    • Weeks One, Two, & Three:  Standard RF.K.2 Demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables, and phonemes (sounds); (d) Isolate and pronounce the initial, medial vowel, and final phonemes in three-phoneme (CVC) words 

    • Week Four: Standard RF.K.2 (a) Recognize and produce rhyming words; (e) Add or substitute individual phonemes in simple, one-syllable words to make new words

  • Wednesdays-

    • Week One:  Standard L.6.5b. Use the relationship between particular words (cause/effect, part/whole, item/category) to better understand each of the words

  • Thursdays-

    • Weeks One & Two:  Standard SL.K.6. Speak audibly and express thoughts, feelings, and ideas clearly

    • Week Three & Four: Standard RF.1.2b. Orally produce single-syllable words by blending sounds (phonemes), including consonant blends; RF.1.2c. Isolate and pronounce initial, medial vowel, and final sounds (phonemes) in spoken single-syllable words

  • Fridays-

    • Week One:  Standard RL.K.6. Name the author/illustrator of the story and define their role; RI.K.5. Identify the front cover, back cover, and title page of a book; SL.K.1b. Continue a conversation through multiple exchanges
