Chatter Chums: Week One

For Monday's Lessons, watch the 'S' Episode!

Find at least 3 things around the house that start with the ‘s’ sound like cereal, sofa, and salt

Talk about the ‘s’ sound at the beginning of words - how it sounds, how it feels, etc.

Don’t be surprised if your child finds other things that start with or has the ‘s’ sound in its name and tells you all about them!

Have your child fix these silly sentences:

I need to put on my shoes and rocks.
My bathroom has a wink.
I wash my hands with hope.

Fish swim in the tea.

For lunch, I like to eat loop.

While teeth brushing, talk about speech helpers - lips, teeth, tongue

You can make funny faces and talk about all the different things your speech helpers can do if you tell them to!

Give the story a title that will go with the picture

Assign your child as the author and another family member to be the illustrator - talk about what these people do
